As the last of the summer season’s weddings are flying by, let’s take a moment to think about all the great things about summer weddings. The list goes on and on, but what other season gives stunning sunsets for a ceremony like this?
This gorgeous wedding is from a real ceremony that Studio Ooh La La designed with a tropical theme. Set on the bay at Paradise Point in San Diego, a wedding can’t get much better than this.
Imagine walking down a moss aisle runner between terrariums and beachwood arrangements to a tropical flower strewn canopy. The couple’s monogram was designed in a variety of small stones and was one of the most talked about wedding detail.
The aisle began between two tall flower arrangements with orchids, ferns, and other tropical flowers, beachwood, and moss, with potted succulents at the base. A long strand of lemon leaves adorned the chairs in the back row, uniting the theme between the front of the aisle and back.
Little details like these terrariums bring the entire wedding together. These can also be a money saving option for your wedding by repurposing them, like these were between the ceremony aisle and table decor at the reception.
And lastly, one of my favorite details, a circle of orchids big enough for the bride, groom, and officiant to stand in. This combination of white, pink, green, and orange blossoms is especially gorgeous when under a canopy adorned with a variety of flowers in the same colors.
